Browse their collection and click the heart icon on items you like to “ create a capsule” of items that you love to your virtual closet.
Step 2: Build & Order Your First BNTO Box

Once you have a well-stocked virtual closet, pick your six items.
I usually make a list of boxes I want to check for the month (ex:one casual sweater dress, one going out dress, two outerwear pieces, etc.) to fill my BNTO.
Select each item and the correct size, add to box, and then proceed to checkout where you confirm shipping details.
Step 3: Wear & Enjoy

Here is my go-to, three-step process:
- Start with a Broad Category. First, I’ll choose a main category to focus on, like “Tops” or “Dresses.” This immediately narrows the selection to a more manageable size.
- Filter Down to Specifics: From there, I use the filters to drill down into sub-categories, like “blouses” or “midi dresses.” I always set my size to automatically filter out anything that won’t fit.
- Toggle on “Available Now”: Always make sure you toggle on the “Available Now” slider. This way, you’re only looking at pieces you can actually rent immediately, which saves a lot of potential frustration.
While the selection on BNTO is wonderfully curated (you can find everything from Y2K tops to workwear pieces to dainty date night looks), I do find the filtering system itself to be quite basic. You can filter by size, color, brand, and item type, but that’s about it. I’ve gotten spoiled by other online shopping experiences and wish I could filter by occasion, weather, or material.
Sigh. It’s a small frustration, but something to be aware of as you fill your BNTO clothing rental box.
My Pro Tip: Use The “Capsule” Feature to Stay Organized
One feature that I highly recommend using is the capsule option BNTO Rent offers. As you browse and find pieces you love, you place a “heart” on them. From there, BNTO allows you to organize these hearted items into different “Capsules.”
You can create capsules for different needs. Think “Going-Out Tops,” “Workwear Essentials,” “Vacation Looks,” etc. When it’s time to choose your six items, you can simply go to your pre-curated capsules.
This simple step transforms the process from a potentially overwhelming scroll into a thoughtful, curated experience. Because picking new clothes should be a treat, not a chore!
Finally, before you even start browsing, I suggest having a mental list of what you’re looking for. For example, if it’s winter, you might be thinking: “I need two coats—one heavy, one lighter—and a fun long-sleeved top for going out.”
Yes it takes a bit more time but being intentional means you’ll fill your closet with pieces that fill in the gaps that month.
BNTO Review: A Look Inside The Boxes
I focused on using the service for what it does best: discovering new designers and experimenting with pieces that pushed my style boundaries. While I received twelve items in total, here are the standout pieces that truly define the BNTO experience.
Box #1: Discovering a New Designer
My first box was a wonderful introduction to Solene, an LA-based brand that defines itself as capturing “a refined, rugged aesthetic with an understated edge.”
The Outfit. I rented both a show-stopper of a top and a pair of trousers from the brand. As a petite woman (I’m 5’3″), finding full-length trousers that don’t drag on the floor is a real challenge, so I was thrilled to find this pair. I wore them together as a set, and the fit was impeccable.
The Standout Piece. My absolute favorite from this box, however, was a gingham off-the-shoulder top from Klint Studio. It was the ideal summer piece—playful yet chic—and proved incredibly versatile. I styled it with everything from mini skirts to tailored shorts to trousers and it felt special every time.
Box #2: Leaning into Edgier Pieces
For my second box, I wanted to see if BNTO could really push me out of my classic comfort zone.
The Out of the Box Piece. The most unique item I chose was a top from EENK, a South Korean brand known for its unexpected plays on versatility and silhouette. As you can see, I styled this feminine yet edgy top with a simple white mini skirt. It was a shirt I never would have purchased on my own, but I loved wearing it.

The Pros: What I Loved

Let’s be clear: the best thing about BNTO is the clothes. Duh. The access you get to both familiar, beautiful brands like Amanda Uprichard and Farm Rio, alongside a fantastic selection of global designers, is truly top-tier. BNTO introduced me to brands I hadn’t heard of, like ST. AGNI and Gestuz.
I rented a stunning Andrea Iyamah romper and received so many compliments; she is a designer who is now firmly on my radar, and that’s a discovery I wouldn’t have made otherwise.

The Cons: What to Be Aware Of
Not Always Petite-Friendly
While I found some wonderful pieces, I had to HUNT for full-length trousers that would work for my 5’3″ frame. I love a good wide-leg pant, but the selection was quite limited for anyone who isn’t 5’7″ or above.
There also aren’t a ton of user reviews on BTNO for every item, so you often have to rely on the model’s stats, which can be a gamble for us shorties. I will say, they could definitely expand their selection for petites.
